Q: I use add-ons with my browser. Is that ok?
A: Add-ons such as ad blockers or pop up blockers may prevent the screeners from loading properly. We recommend you disable them while using this site.
A: screenerpassport.com does not utilize cookies for maintaining your session and enabling the video player. Rather, screenerpassport.com uses passive browser fingerprinting to address the tracking of computers. Browser fingerprinting is a common technique used to identify a device (and thereby a user) whereby information is collected about a remote device and the browser used for access for the purpose of unique identification.
Q: How do I view a screener in full-screen mode?
A: In order to view the screener in full screen mode, you must click the button on the video player, not the browser window. This can be found in the lower right corner. To exit full screen mode, press the "esc" key on your keyboard.
Q: Video playback is choppy when I am watching a screener.
A: Optimal playback performance will be seen using the latest version of the Chrome browser on Windows, or the latest version of Chrome or the Safari on MacOS. Other browsers require software decoding helpers that on occasion, may cause varying degrees of “choppiness”, occurring primarily during scenes with high data rates. If you are experiencing choppy playback while using the recommended browser, it may be due to your your internet connection or that too many programs may open on your computer and affecting system resources. We recommend at least a 5 Mbps connection when viewing screeners. You can test your internet connection speed with a number of free services including SpeedTest.net. If your connection is running slow, we recommend you either contact your internet service provider or that you try to access the site when your network conditions improve. In order to free up system resources, you may choose to close other applications or re-start your computer before accessing this service.
Regardless of which browser or platform you use, the navigation is the same.
When you first log into screenerpassport.com, you will be taken to the Main Screeners Page.
You can navigate between Categories by using the vertical menu on the left side of the screen. When you choose a category, it will be highlighted in red and it will stay highlighted until you click a different category.
Within each category, there are three layouts available: large poster grid view, small poster grid view, or list view. The list view will include movie descriptions and other information.
You can also sort the available screeners alphabetical by title, date added, release date, or studio. (The default is “Alphabetical”; please click the arrow for the drop down menu to choose another sort option.)
You can watch a specific screener from the Main Screeners Page or from the Screener Details Popup Window.
To watch from the Main Screeners Page, hover your mouse over the poster and press the “Play” icon.
If you want to see more information about the title, such as a description, before viewing, click MORE or anywhere on the poster image except the “Play” icon.This will bring up the Screener Details Popup Window. You will also be able to choose “Play” from this screen.
